We’re going to be honest with you, we kinda miss Catherine Zeta Jones as the T-Mobile spokesperson. This is not to say, however, that we don’t like the girl in the pink dress. We do, we do. It’s just Catherine Zeta Jones is Catherine Zeta Jones. And the girl in the pink dress is not Catherine Zeta Jones.

In our blog about LG’s new Spectrum phone featuring Stuart Scott (CLICK HERE), we told you exactly how many people watched TV on their phones in 2011. And it’s service like T-Mobile’s that makes catching the game on the run as easy as making a phone call.

Maybe you’re even reading this blog on your phone. Maybe you didn’t have time to watch the commercial, which means that you maybe don’t know what we did for the shoot. So we’ll help you out.

See those black jerseys, yes? We made those for the commercial, including the XXL for the furry lion-looking mascot. On top of the jerseys, we sent one of our cheer outfits and set of pom poms from the warehouse to match the team.

One thing we didn’t do for the spot was the dress. That’s all T-Mobile magic.

You know the type: face always buried in their smart phone– on their way to work, coming home from work, at their kids soccer game, running into you at the grocery store, driving, ignoring the person talking to them and generally unaware of the world around them.

And it’s not just a few people with their heads in their phones doing who knows what. It’s a lot of people.

In 2011, 30 million people watched TV on their phones. Maybe you didn’t catch that– 30 million people, watching TV, on their phones. That doesn’t even include texting, talking or internet browsing.

So with all the sports streaming on mobile devices, it makes sense that ESPN’s Stuart Scott is hosting LG’s commercials for their hottest phone, “The Spectrum.” Booyah!

For this basketball scene, we created custom jerseys for both teams and provided the outlandishly athletic ref with his uniform from head to toe.

We were all over the football scene as well, providing not only the practice gear for the football players, but also the cheer uniforms, including the outfit for the explosive cheerleader.

The Super Bowl has become famous for prop bets: Over/Under on length of the National Anthem, First Person to Score, Color of Gatorade used in the celebratory ‘Rade bath, How many times will an owner be shown on TV, Will Tom Brady’s son be wearing a Tom Brady jersey, the list goes on an on.

Well, this year you don’t have to be an obsessive gambler to get in on the excitement. Thanks to Papa John’s, if you call the Super Bowl XLVI Coin Toss correctly, a free pizza and a 2-liter Pepsi Max are yours.

We are guessing tails, but don’t tell anyone.

And if you haven’t already guessed, Sports Studio was in on the act. For Peyton, we dressed the future Hall of Famer in the biggest ref gear we had in stock. After all, not many refs are running the sidelines at 6-foot-5 230 pounds.

In addition, we outfitted the background football players as well as the other (non-NFL Pro Bowler) ref for the shoot at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. You can grab a better look at our wardrobe in this behind the scenes look, hosted by the Pepsi Max Spokes-Driver.

And if you haven’t had enough Peyton Manning, check out our work with a Peyton Manning double for the NFL Network’s Football Freakonomics (CLICK HERE).

From 10-6 last year to 2-14 this year, from the 4th best offense in 2010 to the 30th in 2011, it’s easy to see that Peyton Manning’s surgery crushed the Indianapolis Colts this year.

Or did it?

The guys from Football Freakonomics and the NFL Network explore the question: How much do injuries actually affect teams?(CLICK HERE TO WATCH)

We teamed up with the series once again to provide the authentic NFL uniforms for the shoot. On top of that, we sent the entertainment industry’s premier on-set sports wardrobe consultant, who also happens to be our on-set wardrobe consultant, Gus Noguera to make sure that everything looked just right.

We worked with Peyton’s body double to ensure that when it came to the uniform, the fake Manning could be confused for the real Manning, who millions watch every Sunday, all the way down to his recognizable Riddell Revolution helmet.

While on set, Gus snapped this picture of “Manning” in the operating room.

For all of your sports wardrobe needs, both on-set and off, come to Sports Studio, we’ve got you covered.

In our 20,000 square foot warehouse, we have over a million pieces of wardrobe– jerseys, socks, belts, pants, cleats, shorts, pads, shoes, helmets, gloves and everything else you can think of (sportswise, of course) we have.

And after 40 years of Hollywood sports wardrobe, it makes sense that we have a lot of stuff. Sometimes, we find stuff that we never knew we had.

Like these two original jerseys that we made way back when from soccer’s version of The Mighty Ducks, The Big Green (1995).

If those jerseys don’t ring a bell, then maybe the trailer will-

Check back for more warehouse gems as we find them, digging around the warehouse.

Tim Tebow is one of the most polarizing sports figures ever. People love to talk about him. And “love” might not be a strong enough word. Obsessed is probably more like it.

Even Sports Studio got in on the act with our own versions of Tebowing. So when Tebow went on his improbable win streak, the calls for Tebow jerseys started piling up, including one from our friends over at the NFL Network.

The jersey was needed for another episode of Football Freakonomics called, “Tebow Timing,” which can be seen below.
